Nine mechanics
Every Sunken City Riches feature, explained
Sunken City Riches lists nine features on Stakelogic's roadmap. Three of them
(Super Stake, Super Wheel, Spin to Win) are
studio-wide mechanics with a documented track record, so we can describe them precisely. The other
six are title-specific; we describe what each mechanic does in Stakelogic's engine and flag where the
exact in-game numbers are still unpublished.
Payway Maker Core
The mechanic the whole grid is built on. Payway Maker expands the number of active payways
beyond the 1024 baseline by adding symbol positions to reels during play — more positions on a
reel means more combinations counted across that chain.
On a ways-pay engine this compounds fast: adding a single row to one reel multiplies the total
ways, it does not add to them.
Split Symbols Core
A symbol splits into two, three or four identical copies in the same position. Stakelogic uses
this in its ClusterBreaker engine and it is devastating on a ways-pay grid, because each split
copy counts as another way through that reel.
Split Symbols and Payway Maker feeding each other is the most likely route to the x15,000
ceiling.
Wild Multiplier Core
Wilds substitute for paying symbols and carry a multiplier applied to any win they complete.
Stakelogic's recent titles run sticky multiplier wilds that step up when wilds land on consecutive
spins, and tally all visible multipliers at the end of a sequence.
Upgrade Core
A progression layer. In Stakelogic's engine, Upgrade mechanics promote symbols to a higher tier
or advance a collection ladder — the sunken-city framing is the map fragments and the doors they
unlock. Each upgrade step raises the ceiling of what the round can pay.
Pick Bonus Bonus
A player-choice round: you select from a set of objects and reveal prizes, multipliers or a
route into a further feature. The choice is cosmetic in maths terms — the distribution is fixed
before you pick — but it is where the game hands you the map fragments narratively.
Free Spins Bonus
The main bonus round, opened by scatters. On a 5/5 volatility title with this feature stack,
free spins are where the multipliers, splits and expanded payways are designed to stack — which is
also why the base game runs cold between them.
Super Stake Side bet
Stakelogic's signature, live across the portfolio since 2019. It doubles your stake
and enables a secondary game state — extra scatters, stacked wilds, removed low-pay symbols,
depending on the title — which lifts how often you reach the bonus.
It is not free edge. You pay double per spin for a higher trigger rate.
A Mega Super Stake variant exists on some titles at x2.5 the base stake.
Super Wheel Live layer
An industry-first crossover: triggered on a random spin, it hands you off to a
live studio with a human host and a 54-segment money wheel.
Documented network figures are a 93% RTP on the wheel and a hit rate of about
1 in 75. Three further live rounds sit behind it — Vegas Drops, Vegas Diamonds
and Vegas Hold 'n' Spin.
Spin to Win Side bet
The "STW" marked on the roadmap next to each RTP build. Activating it is what adds roughly
+1% to the game's RTP — so a 96.00% build runs at about 97.00% with it switched on.
That is the only mechanic in the game that measurably improves your long-run return, and it is worth
understanding before you play.
Read this before launch day: feature names come from Stakelogic's official roadmap
and are confirmed. Feature behaviour for the six title-specific mechanics is described from how
those mechanics work in Stakelogic's engine today. Trigger conditions, free-spin counts and multiplier
caps for this specific game go live with the paytable on 29 September — we update this section the same
day rather than leaving a guess standing.
